109 Days To Go!

Manchester and Dorset are very near and dear to our hearts, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

HIKING & OUTDOORS

Merck Forest - for an easy walk with great views, check out Merck Forest, 3,500 acres of beautiful Vermont scenery. Located just beyond Dorset in Rupert, Vermont.

Bromley Mountain - for a moderate hike with views of Stratton Mountain, park at the base of Bromley Mountain for a scenic hike (typically about an hour from the base).

Mount Equinox Skyline Drive - an unforgettable scenic drive to the summit of the highest peak in the Taconic Range. From historic Route 7A between Manchester and Arlington, Vermont, Skyline Drive — the longest privately owned, paved toll road in the United States — ascends 3,248 feet over 5.2 miles to the top of Mount Equinox.

LOCAL TREASURES

The Vermont Country Store - Located in nearby Weston, VT, the Vermont Country Store offers a wide range of unique and classic New England products. Going here is like going back in time.

The Northshire Bookstore - Located in downtown Manchester, Courtney and Andrew have spent hours here shopping for books and goodies.

The Dorset Farmers Market - Located at H.N Williams General Store on Sundays from 10-2PM. Courtney and Andrew never miss a Sunday. Check out Earth, Sky, Thyme for great sourdough.

Southern Vermont Arts Council- Located in Manchester, explore a sprawling, recently renovated art gallery. Curate Cafe is great for brunch!

Hildene - Historic, picturesque estate of Robert Todd Lincoln.

The Orvis Flagship Store - A premier destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

GOLF

The Manchester area has two excellent public golf courses:

The Golf Club at the Equinox - This scenic 1927 Walter Travis design will test a player's ability to hit a variety of shots to well-manicured, undulating greens. This Par 71, 6,423 yard Vermont gem is consistently rated one of the top courses in the state.

Stratton Mountain Golf - Golf Digest describes it as one of the top resort courses in New England with three distinct nine hole layouts, giving you 27 reasons to play Stratton.

Some of our favorite spots to grab a bite to eat:

Charlie's Coffee House - We recommend the Maple Latte!
